The St. George Temple was dedicated on April 6, 1877. It was the third LDS temple overall, following the temples built in Kirtland and Nauvoo.

I always thought this temple had an edge on all other temples because of the surrounding red rocks. The color difference between the two just makes the temple glow.
At least, I think it’s the red rocks that make it glow. =)
